Description:
The Cinderella Pumpkin, also known as Rouge Vif d’Etampes, is an old French heirloom famous for its fairytale appearance. Its deep red-orange skin, flattened shape, and smooth ribs make it one of the most beautiful pumpkins to grow. Though it’s a favorite for autumn décor, it’s also edible — with a sweet, rich flesh that’s perfect for soups and pies.
How to Grow:
-
Start seeds indoors 2–3 weeks before the last frost or sow directly once soil warms above 70°F.
-
Plant 1 inch deep in rich, well-draining soil.
-
Space plants 3–4 feet apart in full sun.
-
Water consistently and mulch to retain moisture.
-
Harvest when skin turns deep orange and stem hardens.
